We are a design-led Structural and Civil Engineering Consultants with a flair for delivering engineering solutions on a variety of range and scales, since 1993. The practice is a member firm of the Association of Consulting Engineers.

The firm is led by Khimji Pindoria BSc (Hons) CEng MICE, FConsE who is Chartered Engineer. Khimji graduated from Aston University in 1982. After working for John Laing and Allott & Lomax (Manchester 1982 – 1987), he joined Jampel Davison and Bell as an Associate (London 1987 – 1993) working with well-known architectural firms as Cullinans, Plincke Leaman & Browning, Troughton McAslan and Eseex Goodman & Suggit to name a few.

The broad aim of the practice is to improve and enrich the built environment. Our experience in structures of many types enables us to offer advice on a wide range of building projects, ranging in value from £0.5m to £20m, materials and methods of construction.

We achieve success time and again by ensuring that we understand the wider client goals and that we work with all members of the team to make these happen. Our approach is always to fully engage with other parts of the team, assisting them in achieving their own targets whilst, at the same time, focusing on our own areas.

We aim to deliver creative and economical solutions to civil and structural engineering projects.

As well as designing many new buildings the practice has particular expertise in the repair, refurbishment and conversion of existing buildings. Our service is always tailored to the specific project problem, starting on the premise that the nature of the existing structure and contemporary construction techniques need to be investigated and understood.

The practice has experience in the following structural forms and materials:-

  • Brick, stone, marble & steel cladding
  • In-situ concrete
  • Basement and car parks
  • Precast concrete
  • Structural steelwork
  • Long span structures
  • Load bearing masonry
  • Composite profiled metal deck floors
  • Basements, underpinning and structural repairs

Our enthusiasm for good design is matched by our ability to offer the highest standard of service to clients. We recognise that the success of the structure depends critically on its details and great attention is given to structural detailing both from the engineering and from the aesthetic point of view.

At the outset close contact is maintained with the architect, client & other members of the team. Once on site close liaison is also maintained with the contractor to ensure structural details are understood from foundations through to all levels of the project.

Auto-cad facilities are used for electronic exchange of information and drawings. Structural analysis packages are also used from simple frames to more complex finite element analysis and flat slab designs.
